Schnorr Safety Washers Catalogue

Introduction

The Schnorr safety washers are in the form of a disc spring which is serrated on both sides and of trapezoidal cross section. Schnorr washers are engineered to match screw dimensions precisely. The outer diameter of the washer is matched to the head diameter of pan-head and hexagon socket head cap screws.

As a result, the Schnorr serrated safety washer can be used with practically any screw and bolt type, including those with recessed heads. The only exception is countersunk screws.

The ingenious form of the Schnorr serrated safety washer combines the advantages of security through friction and mechanical locking. This unique design ensures that Schnorr washers provide exceptional performance even under the most demanding conditions.

Schnorr washers are available in two versions to cater to different needs:

  • Standard Type ‘S’ is available for bolts or screws M1.6 to M36 for grades up to 8.8
  • Reinforced Type ‘VS’ for bolts or screws for grades 8.8 and 10.9

This extra strong safety washer has a greater thickness for higher pre-tensioning loads. The outside inside diameter as well and the dimensions are the same as the ‘S’ type. Explanations of the table:

SCHORR SAFETY WASHER TYPE 'VS'

The original Schnorr safety washer ‘VS’ can be used with high-strength bolts of the grade 8.8-10.9 without any restrictions. This extra strong safety washer has a greater thickness for higher pre-tensioning loads. The outside inside diameter as well and the sensations are the same as the ‘S’ type.
It can be delivered for screws M5 to M30. Special sizes are also available on request. Explanations of the table:
