At 40,000 feet and 500 miles per hour, control is everything. In this extreme environment systems such as wing-tip brakes can be affected by unintended movement.

Solution:

IEC’s technical team works closely with the client and manufacturing partners to arrive at bespoke disc spring solutions that are designed and manufactured to meet the stringent aerospace requirements. Disk springs in ‘no-back’ actuators are used to control over-loading of the actuator and prevent reverse operation, particular care is given to tolerancing on load points, deflection and cycle life.

High pressure pure air generators

Challenge:

High pressure pure air generators are designed to replace rechargeable gas bottles on modern military aircraft. The system draws in atmospheric air to provide a continuous supply of high-pressure pure air, which results in unlimited mission duration and eliminates the logistics burden associated with gas bottles.

Solution:

For critical applications, reliability and resilience is paramount. IEC supplied components are capable of operating with high degrees of accuracy under extreme load.
