ABIS Bearing Locknuts for Secure Shaft Location

Secure bearings accurately on shafts with ABIS bearing locknuts from IEC. Available in carbon steel, with tab washers and assembly tools to support reliable installation.

ABIS Bearing Locknuts for Secure Shaft Location

Bearing locknuts mount and locate bearings securely on shafts, forming an important part of the bearing assembly. ABIS locknuts are designed to maintain accurate positioning and support reliable operation in rotating equipment, even under demanding conditions.

Why specify ABIS bearing locknuts?

ABIS locknuts give engineers and procurement teams a reliable option for bearing location, maintenance, and repeatable assembly. Key benefits include secure locking, carbon steel construction, stock sizes from M10 to M100, tab washers, sockets and spanners, and KM locknuts manufactured to DIN 981:2009.

Excavator Automotive Parts Supplier - IEC Ltd
Product:
Laminar seal rings
Application:
Turbo engine shaft sealing
Challenge:
Bearing and equipment damage can occur due to high operating temperatures and or particulate ingress, particularly in harsh working environments such as experienced by off-highway vehicles.
Solution:
IECs technical team worked closely with the client’s engineering team and manufacturing partners to provide custom-designed metallic sealing solutions to prevent contamination ingress and deliver a low friction solution for high-speed turbo engines, extending equipment life and service intervals.
Supersonic Car Auto Parts Manufacturer
Product:
Safety Washers & Fuji Lock Nuts
Application:
Supersonic car
Challenge:
Bloodhound LSR was a UK-based project aiming to break the world land speed record using the most advanced straight-line racing car ever built.  Designed to travel at supersonic speeds, our safety washers are employed throughout the vehicle, and our lock nuts were employed in two critical systems.
Solution:
Within the gearbox of the Jaguar supercharged V-8 auxiliary power unit that would drive the oxidiser pump for the one Eurofighter jet engines. Additionally, IEC’s lock nuts were used to secure the rear wheels in position as they spun up to 10,200 rpm, resist centrifugal forces of up to 50,000 Kg.
