




Duplex Bearings are matched bearings that provide accurate alignment in radial and axial directions. These bearings are designed to eliminate vibration and offer a higher load capacity, leading to longer life and increased system reliability. Duplex bearings are matched by loading every single bearing with the desired preload, measuring the axial offset, and grinding the relevant ring face. When assembled as a set, these bearings create a precise sub-assembly with a known preload, offering increased load capacity, a stiffer assembly, and optimised life.
Typically, our radial deep-groove ball bearings are paired with a preload of 5 Newtons and a nominal contact angle of 15° (E). We can adjust the preload and contact angle to meet your specific requirements. We generally recommend higher radial clearance for duplex bearings, as this enhances axial load capacity, rigidity, and the contact angle.
For spindle ball bearings, we offer variants with contact angles of either 15° (C) or 25° (E). Our duplex bearings are available in three preload stages:
