IEC Alpro proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its employees Tina Hartley and Wendy Ridout, who successfully completed the renowned London Marathon in April 2023. This awe-inspiring endeavor showcased their unwavering determination and commitment to supporting a worthy cause.
As the race commenced, Tina and Wendy braved the rain, exemplifying their resilience and dedication to crossing the finish line. Despite facing initial challenges, the weather took a turn for the better, with the sun shining brightly upon them as they continued their journey through the iconic streets of London.
Enduring both physical and mental exertion, Tina and Wendy pushed through the pain they encountered at the 22-mile mark, displaying incredible perseverance and an indomitable spirit. Together, they crossed the finish line after completing the marathon in an impressive time of 6 hours and 3 minutes.
In addition to their personal achievement, Tina and Wendy took this opportunity to make a positive impact by raising funds for a worthy cause. They have successfully garnered support and donations, raising a commendable sum of £3,100 for Leukaemia Care and £2500 for NSPCC.
