IEC, including Alpro, is delighted to announce its successful attainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification. This significant accomplishment follows a thorough audit conducted by BSI. Prior to this achievement, IEC held the previous ISO 9001:2008 certification for several years.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard distinguishes itself from its predecessors by not only focusing on quality management systems but also emphasizing business management systems and strategy. This updated framework highlights the identification and mitigation of business risks, robust communication throughout the organization, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

“This represents a significant investment for everyone at IEC/Alpro, with the entire process spanning 18 months. Whist it was evident that the business was already operating in line with the standard, it was highly beneficial to consolidate and document and formalise our working practices and policies,” shared Ian Gritt, HSEQ Manager. “The transition to the new standard has affirmed the strength and resilience of our business as we move forward.”

Unlike previous standards that heavily relied on the Quality Manager’s input, ISO 9001:2015 necessitates the full commitment of the entire management team. This requirement fosters a strong sense of teamwork, prompting us to work closely together to meet the rigorous standards set forth by the certification.
